Judged

Judged my friend had been
Misunderstood he remained
Feelings he tried to clean
But his heart was deeply pained

My friend had a pact
A fresh start he'd make
But by the judge's act
Only one step could he take

But there wasn't just one judge
Closer ones joined the show
They gave a gentle nudge
He received it as a blow

My poor dear friend
His own wisdom he did not recall
When with grief he did bend
He was the greatest judge of all

I have finally reached out to him
I have helped him awake unhurt
Again he may sleep on a whim
But I am alert, I am alert!
