Starting Again

Forget the past
The future is vast.
Let sorrow its last sigh heave
And then leave.

You who chided me so
And then looked with love
You found your heart go
Now you are a dove

Forget the past
The future is vast.
Let joy its last drop pour
And be no more.

In the morrow
What shall you see?
Neither joy nor sorrow
For I will be, I will be.

Somik, I don't know what it is about poetry but it touches me deeply. To say that "I love this poem" would be too shallow a response. I totally connected with the poem. But speaking from experiene, it's difficult starting again.

Most people look down on rhyme considering it demeaning because of its association with kindergarten verse. But I disagree. Rhyme when used interestingly can be a wonderful thing in the right hands.
