Silence
Muir Woods leaves me speechless. This poem is a celebration of the silence that adorns the majestic redwoods.
When the mouth moves not
And softly the heart speaks
And gently do the feet trot
Lo, the radiant sun peeks!
I know you have heard
For I hear you reply
You ask me to fly
Higher than any word
In the beauty of the flight
Over the breeze of delight
I wonder at the sight
Silence is your might
When the mouth moves not
And softly the heart speaks
And gently do the feet trot
Lo, the radiant sun peeks!
I know you have heard
For I hear you reply
You ask me to fly
Higher than any word
In the beauty of the flight
Over the breeze of delight
I wonder at the sight
Silence is your might
