O Belief, I wiped you clean
But you came back mean
Hurt I was by words today
Shaken by what they had to say

My country cannot be found
In minds that always hound
Her glory you can intake
When cynicism you shall forsake

From a different country you have come
Yet, you abuse my origin more than some
My country does exist in my heart
Did you look even in part?

Now I awake, now I awake
Out of my slumber I shake
I have restored the intellect
No more shall I neglect

I believe you mean well
So does my heart tell
You cannot perturb anymore
For the ship has come to the shore
