Classic Movies of 2004

Movies can be divided into two categories, class and crass. I am interested in the former, and believe India is capable of producing world-class cinema. In 2004, I found two such movies - Swades and Raincoat. Both had incredible music. Raincoat has a charming track by Shubha Mudgal, while Swades is in a league of its own with classical beats.

Will write more about these two movies soon. Meanwhile, a nice article in the Hindustan Times puts it in perspective.
